  • About Us: Villa Marie Degree College for Women was among the first women colleges to be invited by Osmania University to start the BBA program in the academic year 2011-2012. It is a 3year program which prepares the students for entrepreneurship &management. From a strength of 45 students in 201-2012 to the present 400 in 2021-2022, the department has grown exponentially. The department is consistently ranked number 1 in Osmania University on the basis of its performance at the University examinations. The department has achieved a 100% pass percentage with maximum distinctions. The department aims at enhancing the personality of the students with its 360-degree approach to teaching-learning.

    Strategia – The Power of Mind: A 2-day annual management meet that culminates the activities of the dept into a pot-pourri of business simulation, business plan, marketing strategy, research methodology & many more competitions to enable the all-round development of the student. It involves the application of theoretical concepts into real time situations that fosters ingenuity, creativity & innovation.

    A passionate teacher with over two & half decades of experience, Mrs. Sapna Mathur, is currently the Head, Department of Business Management at Villa Marie Degree College. After completing her masters from Osmania University, she joined her Alma Mater S N VanitaMahavidyalaya as a junior faculty in Commerce. Inspired by her stint as a lecturer, she pursued the field of education & found her anchor at this prestigious institution – Villa Marie with which she is associated for the past 20 years. Villa Marie gave her a platform to hone her personal & professional skills to become a name to reckon with. Her forte is Accounting & Finance. Recently, she was awarded the Distinguished Faculty in Accounting Award by Ambitions Career Counsellors. On the personal front, she is a home body whose passion lies in cooking & chilling with family & friends. She aspires to be known as a good human being.

    Creative, Proficient MBA with Human Resource & marketing specialization of 7 years’ experience in teaching at the Post-Graduate level. Written & presented various research papers in International & National Conferences & Seminars. Also published articles in renowned Journals. Believes in the overall development of students & invests time in motivating & guiding students to excel in all aspects of life. Efficiently guided UG & PG students through their projects.
