It is indeed a very great journey of my life that I started in 2013 as a student in Villa Marie. At that time, I didn’t realize that I will be going such a long way in the same college from being a student to the position of the faculty.

Villa Marie has churned out the best in me. I have not only changed my perception and my personality towards education but also my way of career planning.

During college days, we have been given a chance to interact with various people and organizations, where I have outgrown myself and explored my talents and skills and it has opened a path of opportunities for me where when I look up to myself, I feel proud standing with my senior faculty members and honorable dignitaries today.

I am Ms. Priya Paranandi, a proud Villa Marian, an alumni of the year 2013-2016. I pursued my bachelor’s degree in B.A. Psychology, English literature and Mass communication from this prestigious institution under the beloved care of Dr. Philomena ma’am. Then, moving on, I mastered in English literature from Symbiosis college of Arts and Commerce, Pune. When I took the critical decision to gain work experience before I join a doctorate course, I was muddled as to how and where do I apply. After having weighed in all my available options, the thought of giving back my services to my alma mater struck me. I retroceded instantly and joined the team which laid foundation to the person I am today. I currently am working as English literature and language lecturer in the dept. of English. After having worked here for a year, I can speak today without the slightest bit of skepticism that this was by far the best decision I took with respects to my professional career. When I first joined the college during my bachelor days, I was feeling like a fish out of water. I was a shy, introvert, solitary self-observer. As I progressed, this wonderful institution taught me how to make the most of life. And here I am standing as a lecturer who can face a class of 60 boldly. I’m happy to have been associated with the best reputed college and I urge each one of you to grow and embrace the positivity this dynamic organization has to offer.
